Learning To Read, One Concept At A Time
Take A Step Into
The Reading Room
The Reading Room works with K-6 learners who are struggling with their foundational reading, writing, and spelling skills. Natalie equips students with the decoding and word attack strategies they need to feel successful inside and outside of the classroom. Students are instructed via the Orton-Gillingham (OG) method, an evidence-based, “science of reading” approach, in one-on-one tailored lessons to meet every child’s learning needs.
Recognizing students' areas of strengths and weaknesses is first and foremost. Equipped with assessment data, parent and teacher input, and observational notes, a picture of the whole child is taken into consideration in order to build trust and help students learn to love reading again. Let’s get reading!
